Coastal Gujarat Power Limited (A Tata Power group company), is a well-known name in the Power sector. Owing to the magnanimity of the project, some of the processes were extremely complicated. They faced real challenges with the manual permit system which was followed as it was very tedious and included many intricate sub-procedures within a single frame.

Coastal Gujarat Power Limited wanted a user-friendly electronic permit to work system which could be integrated with their existing SAP (PM) system. They were looking for a solution that would be developed keeping in mind the largeness and the intricacies of the project. Thus it was necessary that the software must be open for accommodating user’s requirements.

The Electronic Permit to Work (e-PTW) software designed and developed by ASK-EHS had all the solutions to client requirements. e-PTW software was able to replicate the paper based system which included raising permit request, monitoring its entire life-cycle, include the entire gamut of HSE requirements, histories of equipment’s isolation till closure of the permit.

With minimal training and enhanced productivity the electronic Permit to Work system is running successfully at the project premises. The transparent system allows users to track current status of all permits and relevant isolations.
